So Mike got us tickets to this completely awesome silent film with live organ accompaniment. So cool. I laughed; I cried; I laughed some more. It was a super great experience. The evening began with a very talented, very white, dixieland jazz band. Their performance was awesome when I closed my eyes; eyes open, they were a bunch of string-bean zoobies trying to look like they had rhythm. The movie itself was a 1923 verson of Hunchback of Notre Dame, sans sound. Two hours of organ mood music later, I was edified. Also, I was dressed as the damsel in distress (Esmeralda, the gypsy). Not on purpose. It looked a little silly- like I planned it. I didn't, but I was wearing most of the jewelry I own and 6 layers of skirts. A really fun costume, if you're looking for ideas for next year. I know I am; any good ideas for Halloween 2010? Oh, and yes, I was the only one of us who dressed up. Bunch of lamos.

Ashley how do I find your dad's new blog?
I love the costume, especially the eye makeup. Too bad your friends didn't step up their game.
Haha no kidding. I'm glad you dressed up though.
